In these 2-hour Zoom sessions designed for beginners and experienced painters who want to brush up on their skills, Doris will cover basic techniques of watercolor painting. The principles and elements of watercolor. $24 or a class card. Curious about what you will learn? Watch Doris’ March 1st Beginner Demo for the Haverhill Art Association.

Comments from previous Fundamentals Workshop participants:

“Doris, that was fantastic. Thank you. It is perfect for someone (like me) who is not necessarily ready to commit but wants to know what they would need to do to jump in.”- DW
“I went into my first class as a rank beginner assuming that you either had “the gift” of artistic talent or you did not (I considered myself one of the nots). But after putting us at ease in her inimitable way, Doris immediately had us executing a variety of clever techniques that yielded a handful of first efforts I would be happy to hang. She also gave us easy-to-internalize principles that instantly improved our work such as “light before dark, big before small.” I left feeling like I could make art!” – SM
“Thank you for a fundamentals class. Good start. Helpful information.” – SH
