Watercolor Instruction and Plein Air Adventures

Doris Rice is an acclaimed international watercolor painter and teacher who lives on the Seacoast of New Hampshire and paints on location throughout North America and Europe.

She offers ongoing weekly classes in Exeter and Portsmouth, New Hampshire as well as a full schedule of Plein Air painting trips.  Her students range from total beginners to accomplished painters who exhibit and sell their work.  They share is a love of nature, a passion for color, and an appreciation of Doris’ warm, friendly, encouraging and relaxed teaching style.

This is a great opportunity to learn and practice some core painting techniques, connect with your fellow painters and get individual feedback and coaching. Each week we’ve tackled new subject matter – forests, forsythia, flowers in glass, sailboats, and tugboats – with lots of fun planned for the weeks ahead.
