New Workshop - Damariscotta 2026

Workshop Dates: May 12-15, 2026, Tuesday through Friday, 4 days.

For travelers, I suggest arrival 5/11 so you can be at class for 9:30 am 5/12, with a departure 5/16, Saturday morning. If you need to depart Friday afternoon, let Doris know.

Cost: $400 or $125 per Day

Explore Coastal Maine with me. The beautiful waterways, boats, woodland settings, and country architecture all call to be captured in a watercolor.

Accommodations: Feel free to locate your own place to stay, VRBOs and Airbnb's available, as well as references from local friends.

We have rented The Barn Loft Apartment, Damariscotta for you, which has 3 bedrooms: a full and 2 twin rooms/ possible to share. Fully equipped kitchen, so it is possible to dine in.

Talk with Doris about your preferences. First come for room reservation as far as the apartment. The apartment is 2 doors from Jan Kilburn's Gallery, where I will be staying. 3 bedrooms available@ $120/night x 5 nights.OR rooms may be shared, twin beds/@$60/night x 5 nights. Let me know your preference. Convenient for making your own meals, space for working paintings to a finishin the evenings.

Doris [and her car with extra easels if you'd like to borrow one], will arrive Monday, staying through Friday night.

Class starts 9:30, 5/12, Day 1 location to be announced.....ends Friday afternoon. Departure will be Saturday morning 5/16.

Daily Painting locations, TBA. Weather plays a part in our location choice, so we'll decide on our location views as we get closer.

It is so beautiful along this coastal region. Damariscotta is home base, but we will go up to 1/2 hour to places around as well. End of afternoon we'll wrap up with a relaxing wine/or tea and snacks get together, discussing the works from the day. Critique, but not critical. This is valuable for looking at improving your work and establishing your style.
