Greeting Card Workshop

All day....a wonderful immersion into techniques with watercolor. This day is a blast! Learn the properties of watercolor while creating your own images for greeting cards. No experience necessary, just arrive and play.


Set up 9:00 am at the First United Methodist Church,

129 Miller Ave, Portsmouth, NH.

Plenty of parking. Class runs 9:30-3:30. Cleanup 3:30-4:30.


Materials:

Suggested materials, but not mandatory.

100% cotton rag paper. We size the paper for card image sizes, to later mount on card stock or pre-cut card. Envelope sizes determine the measurements of the cards.

Watercolor paint in a palette. Squeezed from tubes or pans/cakes.

Watercolor brushes, #4, 6, 10 rounds and 1" flat.

Water dish, paper towels, masking tape, cut up credit card piece for scraping. Salt.

Masking fluid, but if you do not have it, just use mine. It has a short shelf life.

White gouache, not acrylic.

Pencil and sketch book for notes and pre-painting sketching.

Research material: Greeting cards. Photos of images you'de like to paint.

We work on tables, so no easel needed.

And any other art material that could be used to create!


Cost: $75 per person . non refundable.

Prepaid to be on the list of participants. Class is always filled.
