Plein Air Workshop –  Vieux Quebec  ’26

June 5-10, 2026

Quebec City, anyone?  How exciting to be going to a very European city, just a drive away.   There will be scenes from cafes, buildings, historic fort and parks. Join me for a painting adventure!

Workshop Details:

Each day, we will set up and work in a local spot.…selecting subjects and scenes that feel personal to you. Doris will do a demo to start the watercolor flowing and then everyone will paint together with guidance on materials, subject selection, composition, values…..And of course, perspective of buildings, realistic and/or stylized. We hope for perfect June weather!

A critique or evaluation will be held most afternoons,  to check your progress and look for improvements on your personal style.  Everyone is a beginner when it comes to painting.! Don’t be shy! It is an enriching experience.

Each day, the location will be announced according to weather conditions.

Quebec Painting Adventure Costs:

Workshop fee: $450

Additional Expenses: Lodging, meals, shared parking and travel from NH. Museums/tourist expenses.

Lodging:     5 nights.  Single or shared rooms with bathroom ensuite. Costs TBD

Travel:   We will carpool and drive both ways, sharing driving expenses.

Materials:

A General Workshop list is available under classes on the web site. If you are already a watercolor painter, bring your own choice of materials. Easels will certainly fit in the autos, so bring yours to paint upright. Sketchbooks and fine line markers are a must!
